Target population and sample of the study were consisted of 541 students, who received education at a high school of nursing during the fall term of the school year of 2008-2009 and who accepted to participate in the study. The data of the study were collected with the Information Form and semi-structured interview form. The data were analyzed by using qualitative (content analysis) and quantitative (frequency, chi-square) data analysis techniques. It was determined in the study that 88,7% of the students were female, their age average was 21.43±1.65, all of them used internet and they used the internet in an attempt to primarily reach, information (education) and chat. Views of students regarding the benefits of the distance education were primarily ordered as “It supports personal learning.”, “Minimizes time and space limitations.” Views of students regarding the limitations of the distance education were primarily ordered as “It minimizes the mutual interaction between educator-student, student-student.”, “Minimizes socialization.” These findings were assessed to indicate that students have adequate information and views about the basic features, which are included in resources regarding the benefits and limitations of the distance education.
