Abstract

The aim of this study is to develop a multiculturality scale. Regarding this aim, the relevant literature was reviewed and item pool was created using the compositions of the high school students towards multiculturality. The 29-item experimental form was analyzed by applying it to 623 high school students. The sample was randomly separated into two groups and the first group (323) was given exploratory factor analysis and reliability analysis; the second group (300) was given confirmatory factor analysis based on the results of the exploratory factor analysis. With the Exploratory Factor Analysis, which was carried out to define the validity of the scale, a form consisting of 5 dimensions and 21 items was achieved. The results of the Confirmatory Factor Analysis confirmed the results of the Exploratory Factor Analysis. The overall reliability co-efficient of the scale was 0.73.
